About Page Components

Located in the upper left corner of the page, the navigation area contains icons used to:

• Open a menu of the services and features available in DaaS. The Help refers to this menu as the navigation panel.
• Pin the navigation panel open, so it stays open while you work, or leave it unpinned, so it closes automatically.

Navigation Panel

The Navigation Panel icon ():

• Allows you to open the navigation panel from any DaaS page.
• Shows a menu of all available services and features.

Tip: When you log in to DaaS, by default, the navigation panel is hidden (unpinned). When hidden, to open the navigation panel , click . To close it, click again.

To go to a specific option:

1. On any page, in the navigation area, click .

   The navigation panel opens as shown in the example below:

   

   
   

2. When you click an option on the navigation panel, a secondary menu displays as shown in the example below:

   

   
   

3. Click one of the lower-level menu options to open the related DaaS page.

Pin and Unpin the Navigation Panel

On display screens with a horizontal resolution of at least 1230 pixels, you can use the Pin (Show) icon () to pin the navigation panel so that it always shows on the left side of the page. When the navigation panel is pinned, the Unpinned (Hide) icon () shows in the navigation area. The navigation panel continues to show until you unpin it. To unpin (hide) the navigation panel, click .

Located in the upper right corner of each page, the toolbar includes icons used for more tasks.

Example

Global Search Icon

Use the Global Search icon () to search for one or more specific reports or images.

To search for and review a report or an image:

1. On any page, in the toolbar, click .

   The following Search field opens:

   

2. In the Search field, do this:

   How to use the Search field

   To search for ...	Enter ...
   A report	One or more letters of the report name.
   An image	A component of the image file name, which includes the: PSID number Report number Date the file was created.

   Tip: You can enter either the entire name or a partial name in the Search field. The search results list all reports and images that include your search criteria. For example, if you enter State, the results include all reports and images that begin with or contain State.

3. In the search results, click the report or image you want to review.

   

Help Icon

When you click at the top of any DaaS page, the following information shows:

• Detailed Help for the specific page.
• On the left side of the page, the Help navigation panel displays the Help table of contents. Use the table of contents to open other Help topics.

After you read the information, you can close the Help window or keep it open with the product.

System Details Icon

Click the System Details icon () to see the following information.

Options in the System Details menu

Information	Description
Dayforce Logo	The standard Dayforce logo always shows at the top of this section.
User information	The user's name, picture, role, and language/locale. Note: If you don't add a picture, a picture placeholder is shown.
Profile and Settings hyperlink	Click this hyperlink to open the Profile and Settings page. Use this page to view and update your personal information. Personal information includes: Addresses Emergency contacts Work assignment (In the Help, referred to as Role.) Note: To use the Profile and Settings page to add or change your personal information, your organization's configuration must allow you to update this information.
Logout button	Close the product and return to the Login page.

The task pane is the section of the page that contains the page content. Use this section to review page information or complete a task on the page.
