This section describes the setup and permissions needed for access to tax reports and images in DaaS.
Report Access for customer Tax Users
Tax users are assigned roles and role attributes that give them access to tax reports and images in DaaS. These roles and role attributes are assigned as part of the DaaS user setup done in Dayforce's Identity and Access Management (IAM) user management system.
The following DaaS roles can be assigned to customer tax users.
- DaaS Customer User
- DaaS Customer Admin–not currently being used
If a role is assigned to a user, then the role attributes related to that role are also available to assign to the user.
The following DaaS role attributes can be assigned to users with either DaaS Customer User or DaaS Customer Admin role.
Role attributes
This role attribute ... | Gives access to ... |
---|---|
ACA |
Affordable Care Act reports. |
Tax - Payment Solutions |
Payment Solutions reports. |
Tax - Payroll Processing |
Payroll Processing reports. |
Tax Reporting |
General tax reports, including inquiries and amendments. |
A role attribute gives users access to the reports under the related menu item. These groups of reports are listed in the My Reports topic.
DayforceTax.com Access for DaaS Tax Users
Customer users with access to DaaS tax reports must also be set up as DayforceTax.com users. A customer tax user must be assigned a tax role and a DaaS role during user setup in IAM. Having roles in DayforceTax.com and DaaS creates a connection between the two programs that allows some security information to be shared between them.
These tax roles can be assigned to customers.
- Customer User
- Customer Admin—not currently being used
Company Data Access for Customer Tax Users
A customer tax user can see the user's organization tax data in DaaS reports if the organization is assigned to the user in DayforceTax.com. The user's setup in DayforceTax.com carries over to DaaS, so the user can see tax data for the same organizations in DayforceTax.com and in DaaS.
Without specific organization access assigned in DayforceTax.com, users could see DaaS report pages but no data in the reports.
Images Access for Customer users
Customer tax users have access to images in DaaS if they're set up in:
- IAM with:
- DaaS Customer User role
- Tax Reporting role attribute, related to the DaaS Customer User role
- Tax Customer User role
- DayforceTax.com with access to their organization data.
