Opening Data as a Service (DaaS)

Note: This topic applies to users of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) user management system.

To open DaaS, you must first have a user account for IAM, and you must log in to IAM.

User accounts, which contain user names and passwords, control access to IAM. The first time you log in to IAM, you must:

  • Change the temporary password.
  • Log in to IAM with the new password.
  • Enter answers to specific security questions.

Timeout period

Although clients can configure the timeout period for IAM as needed, the default is set at 15 minutes. The timeout session considers time in both IAM and DaaS before closing your session.
