About Report Scheduler
In Data as a Service (DaaS), the report attributes you're assigned in Identity and Access Management (IAM) determine the reports you can access. Having access to a report allows you to:
- Preview the report.
- Run the report.
- Change or delete the report.
DaaS provides two ways to run a report:
- On-Demand - Manually request the report directly from the My Reports page.
- Scheduled - If you're given access to a report with report scheduler capabilities, and you're enabled to schedule reports, you can schedule the report to run on a specific date and time.
Note: This topic provides information for Scheduled reports. For detailed information about On-Demand reports and more information about Scheduled reports, see About My Reports.

To eliminate report generation wait time and retrieve reports on your schedule, use DaaS Report Scheduler. Dayforce internal users use the Report Scheduling Access page to enable users to schedule reports. After you are enabled to schedule reports, the next time the My Reports page opens, the Report Scheduler icon shows beside each report that you have permission to schedule.

- Increases overall report user engagement.
- Decreases report generation time.
- Allows you to edit or delete a report schedule.
- The report:
- Is delivered in a Comma-Separated Value (CSV) formatted file versus a Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) file.
- Can be scheduled to run one time or multiple times.
- Can have multiple schedules.

- Traditional Power BI reports have the following data export limits:
- 150,000 rows when exporting to Excel
- 30,000 rows when exporting to CSV
- The DaaS Report Scheduler can export up to 7,000,000 rows.

If you've scheduled reports in the last seven days, on the DaaS Home page in the Recent Reports section, a Scheduled Reports section appears. This section shows the following information for up to 10 of the last scheduled reports you requested:
- Report name
- Schedule name
- Schedule type
- Status
- Last run date
- Next run date
For each scheduled report in this section, when you click the report name, the Schedule Request page opens. If a CSV file is available, it's listed in the Report Schedule History section of this page.
Note: After a request is made, the scheduled report is available in CSV format for seven days.

On the My Reports page, when you click the Scheduler Request icon for a report, the Schedule Request page opens. This page has three sections:
- Select Report Schedule Options - In this section, you select how often the report runs. The value you select determines the additional fields that appear in this section. Use these fields to indicate the day, date, and time the report runs.
- Schedule information (not labeled) - General information that you want DaaS to use to generate the report, including:
- Client status
- Search criteria and Search value to use
- Bank Account Masking.
- Schedule date range
- Schedule name
- Schedule delivery options
- Report Schedule History - Displays all CVS files available for download. In this section, you can access files with an Active or Inactive status for up to seven days after the request date. While you can change active status requests, you can only view inactive status requests.
Dayforce Link
If a company is set up to use Dayforce Link, it is connected to the customer's account in DaaS. The value selected in Select Report Schedule Options section determines when DaaS runs the report. When the report runs, the value selected in Schedule Delivery Options section determines how the report is accessed. Values are:
- File download
- Extract Link (This option appears only if the customer is set up for Dayforce Link.)
When the user selects either of these options, DaaS creates the report in CSV format and makes it available for download in the Report Schedule History section of the Schedule Request page. When the user selects Extract Link, in addition to adding the report to the Report Schedule History section, DaaS automatically sends an encrypted version of the CSV file to the company's Dayforce Link. From there, they can download the encrypted CSV file.

beside the name of the report you want to open.
